What do you intend using the new pc for and what's your budget mate, honestly that's a pretty poorly spec'd computer.

I'm sure we can do better if we know your budget.

hmm lets see ... my budget would is around 400-500 .... not that high

Replace the 1200 with a 2160, get an after market Cooler, overclock it to 3Ghz, get a 3650 video card and you'll have an ok system.

Honestly, That computer is a piece of shit. The Processor is rock bottom, The drive is outdated, and you need more memory.

Best Buy has an E-Machine computer, Granted it's not the greatest name brand it's still ok, But the specs are pretty decent.

For 349 bucks you can get something like this.

AMD Athlon 4000+
1GB of DDR2 Memory, Upgradeable to 2GB
320GB SATA Harddrive 7200Rpm
Windows Vista Home Premium
Available PCI-Express x16 slot

Best Buy also has the 8800 and 9600 Graphics card for anywhere from 200 to 250 bucks..

Say $500 bucks, You have yourself a pretty damn decent computer in all honesty.

Before I built my own computer I had an Athlon 3800+ with 2GB of Memory and a 7900, and that computer would play anything I threw at it pretty well.

thats $347 there which leaves enough room for you to choose your case and graphics cards, i dont have a clue but them so thats y i didnt choose one.

also i dont know how much us taxes are so im not sure if thats still underudget after those but thats a much better build than your original

wat does overclock mean?

overlocking is the process of changing a procesors voltage and clock speed to increase speed and performance which usually increases heat aswell,

if your not farmiliar with the term overclocking its best not to consider it for this build. overclocking can fry your cpu and render it useless.

overclocking can be very useful if done correctly but can be dangerous and is best left alone unless you have had experience with an old pc that you do not care if it frys lol best way to learn
