LGA 775 cooler retaining clips. clips.

Hi guys. My first post so please be gentle with me.

Anyone know why replacement clips can`t be obtained here in the UK but seem to be available in the United States?

Seems a shame to trash a perfectly good heatsink and fan for the sake of a few bits of plastic worth about 2 or 3 quid.

I know it`s a fairly rubbish way of securing the cooler to the mobo but it`s the only low cost way of doing it apparently.

I did manage to buy a second hand complete fan/heatsink from a local computer shop for £3 to get me running again but would still like to re-install the original. (Although the clips fitted to the new unit are essentially the same as the original, the black part is incorporated into the fan guard so I couldn`t just swop them over).

Thanks for any advice re getting some new clips in the UK.

i'de just ger a new heatsink that comes with metal clips. Zahlman makes some good fans that is quiet and will keep your pc cool.

Why dont you go to the computer hardware store to buy it? They should have it
