Wireless HELP!!!!

I have a wireless network, but the speed of it keeps changing and it use to stay at 58.0 Mps. Does anyone know how to make it stay at 58 again

There are a couple of things that come to mind with wireless, the first is how many computer are on the network when the speed drops? What is being done by those computer i.e. gaming, chatting, downloading, etc. when the speed drops?

Does this wireless *network* have any SECURITY enabled? If so, could be the culprit.

Hi,

There are 5 computers on the network all running windows xp they are all used for surfing the internet and on msn and not gaming online

Also there is no password on the network but there has been one that we took of because it was stopping one computer from connecting to the network.
