Print server installation

I've got a Sitecom LN-301 ethernet print server, but I'm having real trouble getting it up and running. It's all connected to the network, and the connection lights on the hub and the print server are lit and good, but the print server isn't recognised as being present anywhere, even by the manufacturer's setup wizard.

I'd rather not fight with the customer services guys at the shop I bought it from, so if at all possible I'd rather spend the time getting the unit to work.

Any ideas?

I don't know much about it, but does it have a default IP address?

Perhaps take the computer you are own off your home network and plug just the print server and your pc into the switch and see if you can connect to it then.

Do you have a router on your network? If so make sure it is giving out IP address (DHCP) if the print server doesn't have a default IP address.
