I'm temporalily moving to a town 200 miles away but keeping my original residence with it's computer with broadband internet connection.
Is it possible to access all the information, programs emails etc. from this first home computer (logged off) using a second computer in my new residence ? If so how is it done ?

Only if the computer at the first house is on and running. it probably easier to take the pc with you.

Assuming you don't want to / can't take it with you for whatever reason, the best (and arguably only secure) way to access it is through a service such as logmein.com - free an encrypted remote desktop software with excellent performance.
