Network KEy

Ok, so I'm at my cousin's house, and he has a laptop with the network's key already on it... he forgot the key, and he doesn't know how to log into his router. I cannot reset the router, cuz it will ruin the rest of the business' internet system...

Is ther any way for me to retrieve the network key from his laptop?

What "key" are you talking about, the WEP / WPA key to access wireless or the password to access the web based configuration utility?
