Air card and router

I want to get a router so I can use my Amazon Fire in another room. Can a router be used with a Verizon Air Card? I heard somewhere that it can't.

You might be able to do it with some kind of router like this that will let you plug a pcmcia card into it:

I personally haven't tried one, your mileage may very especially connecting a lot of devices to a single 3g/4g connection.

As crazyman143 pointed out, you need a cellular router that will allow you to plug in your air card. Make sure you get one that is designed for your particular air card since it will need to know how to connect to your provider in order to establish a connection.

Since you're on Verizon, you might want to explore the option of using one of their MiFi devices instead of the air card. A MiFi is a portable WiFi Hotspot that will allow you to establish a 3/4G connection and share it with multiple devices.
