I have a XP home recovery disc that was supplied with the computer, if I 'obtained' a full version of xp would the key still work? Or does the key only work with the supplied disc?
I know, its frustrating that the bootdiscs don't work in the same way as the original discs.
I don't see why manufacturers do it...they stil have to have a licence for it, so why can't it be the original?
Yeah its a real pain, but, piracy is one hell of a problem. Perhaps i'll e-mail Micorsoft and see what they say (I can probably guess). Many thanks Kage
Ah, sorry about that then... I thought each disc would have its own. Ah but doesnt that mean that it would stop working after 20 days because it hasnt been activated?...
