i had an x1950gt before replacing it with my brand new 8800gts 512... it was really great-- for about $130 i got 70+ fps in most older games (2004,2005) completely maxed, i remember getting like 80fps in half life 2/ counter strike source. Very easy to install and reliable. If your talking about getting the 512, thats awesome, mine was only 256
