I will be upgrading RAM soon, but I'm on somewhat of a budget so would it be better to get 1 GB of Crucial Ballistix PC4000 DDR SDRAM or 2 GB of PC3200 DDR SDRAM? Also how do I find out what the fastest RAM my computer supports is? Thanks.

What motherboard do you have? if you don't know download everest(google it) and look. 2Gb is a little overboard, what are you doing/are going to do with your computer?

My MOBO is a Intel Brownsville 2 D845GEBV2. I'm mainly using it as a gaming rig and I know I don't really need 2 GB, but I have the extra cash so I'd rather just upgrade now.

Well, I tihinki know the awnser, I looked it up and my MOBO only supports up to 2700.

Maybe you should spend that extra cash on a new MOBO and probably a new CPU too if it's a different socket.
