Wireless Card

I recently purchased an IBM Thinkpad. It does not have a wireless network card built in. I purchased a linksys card, but it sticks out the side of the computer. Do they make network cards I can slide in the side and will not stick out?

To my understanding, no. They all stick out. Sorry. You'd have to have it built it...

Probably because the antenna is in that part that sticks out, and to have a better connection, it sticks out. Usually, if you're gonna move your notebook around, you should take it out (which isn't a hard thing to do).

I guess you still have to be able to pull them out somehow or is there a release button or lever that does that? I never had to use my expansion slot (PCMCIA slot), but it does have a plastic filler in there that can be removed with a push button release lever. So neat and creative.

Hi,

The little, button that releases the plastic thing, that will shoot out the PCMCIA card...lol
