Very recently i have been noticing huge ping fluctuations when i'm playing Battlefield 2. The ping starts at 30 then goes to 50 then jumps to 100 then back down and stuff like that. It is very annoying and makes playing the game really difficult and frustrating. I have Verizon FIOS and am connected straight to the modem. Can anyone help?

Other things going on on your computer may be requiring some internet resources and increasing your ping. Check your Windows Task Manager on the Networking Tab to see what all is going on with your internet. Also just check the processes tab to see if you recognize any programs using your internet.
