i'm saving up to get this system and i'm having some trouble deciding what size case i should get, i want to go with a mid tower so it will fit on my desk but i'm not sure how good it will be cooling/space wise if i do.
here the system
cpu: phenom 2 x4 955 be (planning on overclocking to 4.5 GHz)
heatsink: cooler master v8 120 mm rifle cpu cooler

motherboard: msi 790 fx gd70

PSU: enermax revolutions85+ 950 w

RAM: 2 of these: mushkin 4 gb (2x2GB) ddr3 1600
one 10,000 RPM hdd and one 7200 RPM
2 HIS ati radeon 4890's in crossfire
pcie 1x xfi soundcard
optical drive
(didnt think hdd-optical drive names links mattered much)
(didnt put link for video cards cuzz i figured u guys would know what they are)

neway, should i go mid tower, or full tower? i'm not planning on liquid cooling any time soon.

thanx

also if i went with mid tower i was thinking about the coolermaster haf 922 will that have sufficient cooling?

with those cards and ur proc being overclocked id go with a full tower, or a good mid tower, with great airflow to wick away the heat from the internals.

Antec 1200 I can tell you that i have one of these gems, and it looks good, runs cool to the touch, and in a 84*F apartment upstairs, with my 940 OC'd to 3.3Ghz on stock cooler, it idles at 44*C

This is also a great mid tower IMO, i was looking at this one before i got my 1200

Thermaltake Armor

I'm just gonna say, its going to be extremely difficult to get that P2 up to 4.5GHz.
More realistically, 3.8, 4.0 is about the best you will get on air cooling, that is, unless you get extremely lucky with your CPU.

I have an Antec 1200, and besides the horrified look on my wife's face when the UPS guy dropped it off, it's been an absolute dream. Buy a few extra fans (the back 2 look better with clear plastic fans) and the side fan and you have a beauty to behold.

ha, ya, the 1200 will solve any heat problems anyone has, thats for sure, in tottal i think my 1200 moves about 670-700CFM lol...
