WD4000KS problems.

I have just installed a new hard drive. I have three serial ATA drives. No matter what I do, I can't get the 400 gig drive to work.

If I have it in SATA 2, it registers fine in Device manager, but there is no icon for it under My Computer.

If i have it in SATA 3, then it registers as a SCSI drive in Device manager

It doesn't show up in bios when plugged into SATA 3, but it shows up fine under SATA2, I have tried Combined, Enhanced, SATA only, AUTO, and I can't get it to display all three.

I have a 74raptor on SATA1 always, because its my boot drive.

When I have my WD1600 plugged into SATA 2 or 3 it works in windows. If its in SATA 3 it doesn't show up in bios, but it shows up in the Raid bios. Same with WD4000, but the 4000 won't work in windows...

I have tried putting a jumper on pins 5&6 of the WD4000KS, but it made no difference.

My mother board is a Abit IC7-Max3.

Please help me!! Thanks!

Serial D is plugged into SATA 3, and is the WD1600. It is not a SCSI drive. When I have the WD4000 plugged into SATA 3, it says that it is a SCSI drive...??

go into "computer management" or something in the control panel, and click on "drives" or something like that, and it will probly show up there. just right click "format"
