Watch dogs lagging?

When I play watch dogs it lags and is a bit slow than I'm use to. Especially when I'm in a vehicle. I got a i7 4770k cpu and Radeon HD 6870. Should I over clock my CPU? Or is it my graphics card?

Watch dogs are unfortunately a very poorly optimized game.
Be sure to have both the game and GPU updated.
A overclock will help. But it's not gonna give you much more than a 10% performance increase. Still good for free performance.

What is the specs of your video card?

Might try to overclock but computer is running hot. I have the setting on ultra and I just got new drives that might be it.

Your lagging may be due to online congestion or internet speed.

I did a quick check with Gamedebate and it says you should be able to run this at medium-high settings Watch Dogs System Requirements | Can I Run Watch Dogs PC requirements
