Wallpaper location in Windows XP?

Does anyone know where windows saves your wallpaper image? Because I accedentally deleted that image that I can't get back and I know windows had to have made a copy of it somewhere.

Was the image one of windows standard wallpapers? or one u made urself or took, i think if u made it urself and u deleted it then its gone,, could be wrong. Try looking in the windows folder, sorry havent got access to an xp pc at the moment, or if u know the file name do a search of the drive.

Yep, Windows doesn't "auto copy" wallpaper.

In XP the wallpaper folder default location is: C:\WINDOWS\Web\Wallpaper

Put them in "My Pictures" and they will show up on the wallpaper list.
