vista problem

I have vista ultimate and about a month ago i had to reinstall it and i tried to reinstall the 64 bit version but i think the disk was damaged so installed the 32 bit version, is there a way to make it switch to 64 bit without reinstalling it?

See if you can get a hold of a 64-bit disk and use your CD key.

yeah it is legal, i bought the disks for almost 400 bucks

now you can try calling Microsoft and see if they'll send you a new disk??

You can not convert 32bit to 64bit, you'll need to reinstall. Does your cpu support EMT64?

If the disk is truely damaged contact Microsoft for a replacement.

I would just buy another copy so I could have both keys if I had to do that.

Could you download a Vista 64 torrent and just use your existing CD-key and have it be legal?
