Vista and games

I want to get some games for my new pc. I am running vista. Will any game that says will play on xp, will it work on vista even though it doesen't say vista? Thanks

Most of the games for XP will work on Vista. If not, you can try to run in compatibility mode. Anything before XP is a little sketchy, though. It might run, but it might be a little glitchy.

ive had no problams with games runnung on vista.

i play BF 1942, and even half life 1 fine

For some reason I can't get Steam games to work (other than Half life 2).

Other than that, these have worked fine:

World of Warcraft
Hellgate: London
Crysis
C&C Generals

not had no problems with games either, the percentage of that happening is very slim most games should work perfectly fine
