So I went to the ***New build guide*** link, and decided to try building the $500 range comp (Its my first time and i need somewhat hand expierience with computers) I was looking at the video card the guy somewhat suggests (HD 4670) and in newegg i noticed the Ram type under specification. It says GDDR3. However in the ***new build guide***, it says to buy DDR2. Do i need to get the newer type, GDDR3 or will it still run with DDR2 ram?

You're confusing the VRAM (the memory installed on the video card, GDDR3) with the memory that is installed on motherboard, DDR2. They are independent of each other.

With the motherboard in that build, it requires the use of DDR2 memory such as the Kingston as listed.
