very lite media player

i am looking for a media (audio) player that takes up very little resources. for playing games and stuff so i can run it in the background without it laggin up the game. anyone know of a media player liek this?

I don't really like vlc for music. I'm always using winamp, and at least with my pc I can't tell the difference in performance.

Winamp, and choose the classic theme.. that run fast on this P2 we have.. that's your best bet IMO.

There is a lite version of winamp also.

yeah winamp on a simple skin (probably the classic mode like joxley suggested) doesn't eat up a lot of resources I would say.
