I'm building another computer. So now when I pick out a motherboard I will make sure it has USB 3.0 and forget about esata which is suppose to be slower. Of course I will buy a USB 3.0 Hard Drive.

I'm just double checking because I want to make sure I get it right.

I think this would depend on your personal preference.

I personally would just stick with the E-Sata connections. USB 3.0 isnt really into its stride yet. if the computer is built for lasting several years then yeah go for it but i am personally the type of person which will build a new computer every 2 years and i just think that i wouldnt really benifit in a huge way from USB 3.0 just yet.

I think you need to weigh up the cost, if it isnt that much of a difference then yeah go for USB 3.0

Logic is flawed. eSATA is still faster than USB 3.0. USB 3 will be great, don't get me wrong, but eSATA is still the SATA spec which is more aligned for drive transfers than USB is.
