I would check out the Creative Labs Audigy2 line. They're excellent sound cards and usually contain lots of input/output jacks.

Well you can get sound cards for that but there is no point in getting a new mothervboard. All you need to do is re-install the drivers for it and there be on the cd that came with your motherboard. Hope this helps and if you have lost the cd you may be able to download them from the manufactuars website. (Incorrect Spelling)

Hope this helps

Yeah, download this:

http://www.lavalys.com/products/overview.php?pid=1&lang=en

It'll tell you what sound card you have so we can search for downloadable drivers :)

If you really do want to buy a new card for quality, surround sound, etc, then the Creative Audigy 2 is the best around at the moment :D Fits into the PCI slot on your motherboard, though if your worried about sockets and that, buy an external sound card which plugs up to USB. I think you can get that sound card in external too...

I hope this helps

do you know how to get to your device manager. Are you running windows xp? If you do know how to get to device manager. Go to look for any question marks or exclamation points or just find your audio card and see if when you right click on it and hit update.
