Trying to Install windows

hi, I have a KV8-MAX3 motherboard and i am putting a WD Raptor HD 74g but when i start up the computer i get a message before i get to the widows setup the the is no disk found but when i boot up it regonizes the HD how can i fix this i am in utter frustration please help

are u sure the hard drive is fully connectted and that the disc is in good shape with no scatches?

yes i think it might be in the way i have by BIOS setup but i am not sure
