Time for a new build(2200 dollar budget)

Just got me a new job as a doorman paying 18 dollars an hour..so now its time to build to a monster

I just finished my first build in march..i was on a small budget at the time.. and i dunno what it is..but im not impressed..specs are

From here i plan to salvage the tv tuner card..sound card..video card..and maybe the ram? i was never really into gaming as my old pc couldn't play anything past mine sweeper..i now do play alot of games though since i built this rig in march ..so i want a board with sli..since im new..do i stick to amd? intel? I do watch ALOT of movies and tv shows on the pc in hd..so a new monitor is also needed..what should i look out for? budget is 2200..one more thing to note..my room is small and gets very hot..so i need great cooling options..all feedback is appreciated

the video card, sound card, and ram are still pretty much new..i atleast wanna keep the sound card and video card..ram was cheap so i'd only keep it if you guys think its worth it..

Do u have Vista 64 bit? Can u carry over ur CD-ROM?

that is one awesome build..i will stretch out the budget to fit in the monitor..as for losing something..is there anyway i can get a board with 3 pci express slots?

I personally have 24" monitor and if u switch from 19" to 24" the getting use time is super quick, u will fall in love man. I personally dont know how I ever had a smaller monitor! So what Im trying to say what ever ur decision might be, dont go lover the 22"

to be honest..i pretty much have an endless budget..im not gonna buy everything in one shot..maybe 2-3 things a week..i really have no bills except car insurance so i have alot of play money..i just put that budget there because i figured it would be enough..the soundcard and tv tuner card are still new in the box as i havent had much time to install them..so i really don't wanna lose them as it would be a waste of money

Well here is the deal man. You have a DDR3 MOBO that is absolutely TOP of the line! U have 4GB of DDR3 RAM to go with this mobo. Then u have 2! 9800GTX video cards in SLI. (The new 280GTX video card is supposed to come out this month, the rumor has it 1 280GTX will be like 2 9800GTX, but no one knows 4 sure et, so just hold on the vid cards for now) Then u have E8500 3.2Ghz Stock (but this is a dual core VERY VERY FAST!!! if u know that u will be dealing with lots of multiple apps or games that can take full advantage of quad cores then my all mean get Q6600). Then we have 300GB RAPTOR HDD at 10,000 rpm speed. This is main HDD for games/OS (its a new hdd, very very quick) then u have 1GB hdd for storage, music...etc videos...etc The u have a great CPU cooler, keep in mind its big! Then a 800W PSU that is modulated and has lights (I think its cool lol, I have the same PSU) then u have ur case & OS.

Im sure we can get the price lower, maybe $2200. But u really need to ask ur self, how much u want to spend on a PC! and what u want to get from it! This pc that I build for u now is CRAZY lol but then again, nothing last for ever...when Nahelm processor comes out next year all today processors will be outdated... But this PC can still last u for a very long time +if u do upgrades once every 6 month or so, it will never go old

I just noticed one flaw with this build, one pci slots will be taken by the vid card. Basically the new vid card will accupy 2 slots, so haveing sli and still have room for 2 pci slots is out of the question. The only way u can have 2 pci slots if u use older vid cards, I think just like the one u currently have. But if u going to do that, then u dont need this crazy PC, because ur vid card will be holding u WAY! back.... 2 pci slots is out of the question with new vidcards in sli, 1 yes, but not 2.

How many times have I said this? DDR3 is no benefit whatsoever to an Intel platform as bandiwidth is only as high as the FSB. For example, if you are running a 400 FSB. Bandwidth is limited to DDR 800, anything over that will not bring any performance benefits.
