Switching Motherboards question

Well I just built this new computer today to when I turn it on it doesnt post and I find out the MOBO is dead. Since I need to take the processor out and put it away for mabey a few days should I clean the thermal grease off of it? it will only be unused for a few days. Please help me.

it really doesn't matter whether you clean it off or not. just make sure you store it in a non static environment and somewhere safe so it doesn't get damaged.

So no, its not necessary to clean off the thermal grease.

THanks I put it back into the box and put it on a shelf so I think it is safe.
