Surround Set Up?

Hi

I have 6.1 surround sound and have them currently positioned as follows: 3 speakers spaced out on my back wall at height of close to celieng so basically well above my head (about 2metres behind me), other 3 are set up in front of me at head height on my computer desk. My sub woofer is on the ground under my computer desk.

Is this set up right?

If needed i can supply a photo but not till tommoro

Also if possible could people try to supply photos of what a good set up should look like.

That seems fine to me,a dn shouldn't give any issues,

They do say though that the back speakers should be positioned head height too and positioned at the side of your head, but I don't see issues with the way you've done it, and should still give you an immersive experience.

I do suggest you run a surround test which might have come with your sound card when using a surround setup to test if it is in the right position for you, as you'll be able to check volume and positioning there, for belivablility also.
