Hello!
I was planning on buying a new soundcard, yes; the Asus Xonar DX.
My problem is that i use two graphic cards (in crossfire) and that, i believe, takes much juice out of my power supply.
The Asus Xonar DX needs additional power (4pin i guess) and i dont know if my system will be able to handle that cause i have ABSOLUTELY no idea how much that sound card needs (googled for hours)...
I've calculated on a website (http://extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine) that when in almost full load my system needs about 572 watts. Which is only 28 less then i have.
So here is my question.. How many watt's does a sound card like that need? And will it work with my system?
Here are my specs:
Power Supply: OCZ ModXStream Pro OCZ600MXSP 600W ATX12V V2.2
Mobo: A790GXH/128M
CPU: Phenom II x4 955 3.2 BE
RAM: 4GB OCZ Gold edition DDR3
GFX: 2x Gainward 4850 [fabric overvlock]
HDD: 500gb regular Samsung SATA
Drive: LG multi disc cd/dvd
Extra: one 120mm fan for the gpx's, one 80mm fan, and one Freezer XTREME CPU cooler.
