something may be wrong with my startup...

for some reason xp loads everything one-by-one. before it never did this, cause now it takes forever for xp to completely boot. before it loaded as many things as it could at once, which significantely inproved boot time, while right now it loads one thing at a time which takes a lot longer. wtf?

Maybe you should try doing a defrag if you haven't already
That'll put all the start up items at the start of the disc.

Can you elaborate on this, you talkin about the boot up, or when your actually in windows. And how do ya know its loading 1 thing at a time?

after i logon, i quickly open the task manager and look at the process and only 1 by 1 is popping up, instead of a whole bunch at once like it used to.

woah...anyway i tried bootvis one more time, idk what i did to it but my boot is pretty damn fast now. idk what i did...i just clicked on stuff and now its real fast.

thats overkill you should look into doing it weekly/biweekly/or monthly
