Socket 939 mobo that can be upgraded to an AM2 socket

That's definitely not accurate. An AM2 processor wouldn't physically fit into the 939 socket in the first place. :p And you'd need DDR2 RAM as well.

Sometimes people get "AM2" and "dual-core" mixed up, so that could be a possibility. Still doesn't really make a whole lot of sense though, I don't know what he was thinking.

ASRock has that type of upgrades. You will need to buy the mobo and then buy the card you mentioned. It fits in the misplaced AGP slot, which they call, I believe, AGI.

Make sure that when you do that, REMOVE BOTH CPU and RAM, ot else, it may damage everything or not boot. I haven't tried that.

i think ill give the AM2 card a miss. im only after a 939 socket for a cheap build.
