SLI CUDA/ running CUDA on multiple GPUs

does CUDA performe better when the NVIDIA gpus are in SLI?
would it be the better thing to do for CUDA performance?
or how could i get CUDA running on both of the gpus?

CUDA performs better in a single GPU arrangement. I'm trying to look for the proof which I saw months ago (they compared a Quadro FX4800 vs the Quadro FX4800 SLi and the single card won).

edit: Well, I can't really find the proof, so let's disregard this information for a while. Tomorrow, I can ask my dad how he optimizes CUDA (he works with virtual reality) and I'll get back to you.
