setup cannot find hard disks

yeah got this error tryna fix a pc replaced the old HD with a new one and its not Sata so i dont need to press f6 or whatever that stuff is and the bios on the dell isnt exactly user friendly...so any one can help me out here would greatly appreciate it...thanks

Wow, not SATA. I haven't used IDE in a long time. WIth IDE drives, make sure that you have the hard drive set to Cable Select or Master.

Then go into BIOS and make sure that this new IDE hard drive is the primary boot device and should be the second one in the boot order. I always have my DVD set to my first boot device.

yeah its an old dell lolol so im kinda stuck here and i will make sure its on master but im almost 100% sure it is

and all i need to do is re-format my new HD
