sorry didnt no where to put this since the server board seems to be more related to software. anyways i want to use a server case for a regular pc, but im pretty sure the 1U and 2U cases are to small to fit a pci card without going vertical. when i looked a 3U it looked like a pci card would fit. so my question is will a pci card fit in a 3U server case without using one of those stupid vertical adapters? i just wanna plug it into the mobo, no adapter inbetween. thanks

dont no the answer to your question but im curious...

why do you want to use a server case for standard components?
the variety of cases avaible im sure you could find one you like! it would sure be easier!

because its rackmount. i need it for a band and already have a good deal of rackmount space available. want to be able to carry it around with me for live recording at gigs. guitar center and such already sell computers in rackmount cases for this very purpose, but they are extremely overpriced, and i think it would be easier , more affordable, and more fun to make my own
