Im about to go full pro into computer aided design, video, phot editing. And i need a capable computer fast. I want to go for AMD definetely not Intel, thats out of the question. BUT i dont know which direction to head from there, I know AMD's workstation processors are the Opterons but they require socket 940, and all socket 940 mobos are sort of painful to handful from what i gather, in fact i dont even know if ill be able to fit my new graphics card in there.
here is the motherboard im looking at:

here is the processor:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103574
But i realize that this configuration is difficult to handle, so my questions are:
-Is it worth buying a socket 939 or a 940 now? or are there new sockets coming out too quickly for me to spend so much on 939 and 940?
-Should I opt for Opteron 280 Dual Core, or just go for the Athlon Dual Core 4800+? Or is there a new AMD dual core coming out very soon for me to invest so much money into the current dual cores?
-Is my video card going to fit onto my motherboard?
my video card to be
-should i opt for TYAN mother boards, or any other company's motherboards instead of ASUS with the socket 940
thank you, and any info on whats to come in the future will help
