Hi everyone,

I am in the market for a used netbook that has been upgraded: RAM + Hard Drive.

For a casual user like me (Word, Excel, Adobe to open up .pdf files, internet), would I be better served by a netbook that has a Seagate Hybrid hard drive or a netbook that has been upgrade to a (small) SSD?

I figure I am going to need an external HD anyways...

Thanks.

I have a SSD and they are really good, veryyyyy fast. The good advantage of them is the windows load up times and how fast applications load. But for programs like word and internet you dont NEED them to load up almost instantly seeing as they are small programs which load kinda fast anyway, so getting a hybrid drive might be better in your case as you get more GB for your money. BUT then again, if you can get one with a SSD cheap enough I'd say go for it purely because of the faster windows load up times :D

if you are going to use tha laptop for word, adobe, internet you dont really need a SSD, I would recommend an external drive so you can backup your data to it
