Safe mode and spyware...

Hi guys,

I've got an executable file that I want to run, but I'm worried that it may have spyware embedded in it. If I execute the file in Safe mode will it stop the spyware from copying itself onto my computer?

Are there any other ways to execute the file without spyware being transferred to my computer?

Scan it with a virus scanner such as AVG and a spyware scanner such as Ad-aware before running it.
