S-Video...black screen...

Res is bottomed out.

I plug my S -Video in and get nothing but black screen. I've tried restarting in different configurations (tv on/plug in cable/start pc, all off/plug in cables/tv on/pc on, etc). Get the same thing all the time.

If I use a VGA-to-s video adapter I get black/white/static with the image cloned half a dozen times in horizontal overlapping segments. The adapters suck...I know...but it proves I'm getting S-Video input on the TV.

When I plug the cable in, turn the tv on, then turn the PC on after a second I get a flicker on the TV screen...like it saw power come on but no signal followed.

What do I need to check?

Yes, the TV is set to the proper input. Yes, I hit fn-F8. I use this same computer on VGA-equiped TV's all the time.

additionally...when I run the S-Video to another computer monitor, I still get only black screen.

Solved.

nVidia has it's own desktop utility accessible by right clicking the desktop. It would only allow me to select the TV feed through the utility.
