While cleaning the registry with 'cleaner kit' I made a mistake and deleted some reg. keys important to windows. Unfortunatley, no backup was made.
I found a log file in the program's folder that logged all the fkeys that were deleted, and it's structure was similar to that of a normal .reg file. So I modified that a bit, and added it to the registry. Although windows accepted it and put it in, nothing seems to be fixed.
My question is: Is there a way to restore the registry to it's default when I installed windows OR restore crucial parts of the registry without having to backup my data and reinstall XP (home edition)? Or any other suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated.
