reformat for new OS install

If I have a OEM version of Windows, how do I erase and format my hard drive to install the OEM version?

Place the Windows disc in the drive. Go to the BIOS, set the drive priority to your optical drive. Save/reboot and instead of reading your hard drive, it should read the Windows disc and a message of "Press any key to boot from CD" should pop up. Press a random key and it should progress. It should be pretty straightforward from that point.
