Recording game play
 
to record game play u can use fraps,

and is this free? or is there a better program (less of a FPS drop) that is free to use to record game play?

You have to pay for fraps, but they have some demo. I don't know the restrictions though. I've never used it or any other recording software.

I was never aware that FRAPS wasn't free. the free version works great
