I'm a little confussed on blue ray players writers & burners.
from what I've read most OEM BD players will not come w/ software (my PC only came w/ a regular DVD burner).
please recommend a blue ray player w/ software included so I can rip BD discs.
also please recommend the alternative buying OEM BD player w/ out software then recommend a software to inable the BD playback and rip function.
my plan is to be able to insert a BD disc. then use makeMKV to rip BD to HDD and have a BD compressed into a MKV file then have the option to burn this MKV file to a regular DVD and have the option to either play the disc. or play the MKV from the HDD.
I like the idea of a portable USB type BD player for ease of connecting to either PC or LT however I've read that the rip time is signficantly increased w/ a USB BD compaired to a desktop type BD.
Thanks STB
