RAR file

I downloaded a program which was a rar file. It was the setup file, but I don't know what to open it with. What do I have to open the RAR file with so that I can install the program?

Another thing is that the program came with a registry key. When I click on it it says "Do you want to activate the registry key bla bla bla....". I click yes and it says that it has been activated. How do I actually see the registry key, and what does it do?

That's strange that it asked you if you wanted to add it to the registry but there is nothing to worry about because all programs must be added to your computer's registry in order to work. If you want to look up the registry key, just go to start > run > type regedit > then select find from the toolbar at the top and type in the name of the registry key.
