Ram

can u please tell us what motherboard you have ?

A lot of AM3 motherboards are DDR2 but their are some that are DDR3

Yup, it will work as long as you have a socket AM3 motherboard. DDR3 is not compatible with socket AM2/AM2+ motherboards

some AM3 boards are DDR2 though
Show me which one(s) support DDR2: Newegg - Socket AM3 Motherboards

ok thanx i was worried because i saw a review that said it didnt work with the i7 so i thought it might be the same with mine.
also one more question, which of these two monitors do you think i should choose?
1: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001323
2: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001276
The second one. Larger screen, same specs as the first, but cheaper.

:D

Those are not socket AM3 motherboards. Those are socket AM2+ with AM3 support. A true socket AM3 has only 938 pins and AM2 processors will not fit in them as they have 940 pins.
