quick question

defragging will increase the read speed of your hard disk

basically it puts everything in order on your hard disk instead of having bits of stuff at opposite ends (so the read head doesnt have to travel so far...so takes less time to read)

but in reality you dont notice any difference! but every little helps, do it nayway

It will make it go faster, but w/ your cpu and the size of your Hd it will take a very long time. intels take longer at that sort o thing

It is good to do a defrag. at least once every 2 or 3 month's...Some people do one once a month.

It would be your perocative, I do one every 3 months.

but before i do, amake shure to clean out all junk files before doing the defrag, there is no point in defragging junk files.

doing it every two months is good. I do mine at that interval. When you analyze your drive at that time, you will see how fragmented it is. The red bar is all over the place slowing it down a bit.
