if u have a digi camcorder... and have a firewire.... all u have to do is load footage on ur computer to edit it in windows movie maker right? or is there something else u have to do?

Yeah, you should just be able to do that. Firewire should automatically recognise it, and if you have XP, it might even ask you if you want to start editing the footage in Movie Maker.
Yeah so just start the program up, and select to start capturing and it'll be fine. It should even allow you to automatically record and stop when the tape finishes.

Yeah. My dad has the same setup and all he dose is plug in the firewire and then if your using xp u get that little UBS device found sound. then if you go into My Computer you should see the camera u use. And for software he ordered some Intro Dv carp for editing and it dose a real good job.
