so i noticed that Vista takes about 767mb of VRAM to make any 256mb into a 1gb and only uses that 767 mb whenever it needs it.
But i was wondering if XP can do the same thing, because my card has 512mb vram, but is there a way to get like 256mb of my physical ram to be shared with the VRAM?
thanks in advance

Nope. XP handles memory differently then Vista. Honestly, you're fine with the 512MB VRAM and in reality probably wont see any performance benefit of allocating another 256MB.

hmmm, i see, i guess im gonna go back to using XP...

looking at your sig id say vista should run fine on your pc. why go back to xp (even if it is better :p)

one reason why i am going back to XP is because of this post i posted

doesnt seem like not many people have this problem, and i never had this problem with XP, but then again i never used my 8800GT on these 2 games yet on XP, and i want to see if i still get the same problem.

i was thinking about that, but does anybody know how to set it to boot XP in start up instead of me selecting XP?

depends which os you install first, then you boot into that os and change the boot loader. its easy

does XP and Vista have different fonts?
XP looks really weird to me...
