Quad core?

i would wait and find out the prices of the new AMD quad cores, they are 4 cpu's on the same die not 2 dual core cpu's on the same die. also they might be a good enough price to just grab one soon as they come out on the 11th\12th

I love my Q6600. The power consumption on the new ones is only 85W and not 95W like that site advertises.

in my set up i am running a Q6600 and i know that it runs a little warm but thats only with the stock fan. get a new fan and heatsink and its fine. the whole thing is never used. there are no programs that will use all 4 and it is a waste of money to buy one unless you multitask to the extreme.

I'm running the Q6600 with a Zalman 9700, and my room temps aren't exactly cool, and still, Uguru on my Abit board, is showing a CPU temp of 29 degrees C idle. It never seems to go past 33 degrees C.
