Hello,

So i'm on the verge of buying a new computer but in terms of power supply i'm having a bit of difficulty determining what would be best for my system.

The system specs are:

EVGA gtx 770 Superclocked
G-Skill 8gb Ripjaws
MSI Z87-G45-GAMING ATX motherboard
intel i7 4770k
1tb hdd

Would a 750 watt psu be enough? Or should i go for 850 watts? my last pc was ruined because i went cheap on a PSU so i don't want to make the same mistake twice. But at the same time i'd rather not spend an extra £30 if there's no point.

Thanks in advance

750 watts will be fine. But if later in the future if you want to get another 770 and SLI them, you'd have to get a bigger PSU. So you might just get the 850 Watt just in case you do that.

Yeah, never go with a cheap PSU. It can be a huge mistake, like you know.

I have a similar setup to you and I run the corsair cx 750 it's a good solid psu I highly suggest it

Price £60

Corsair or Seasonic I would say. Good quality and reliable. Get a modular one to improve the airflow thru the case by reduceing the cable clutter.

750 watts will be future proof.
