Not amd. Go Intel for those things..

Pent 4, 3.0ghz or higher
Intel Xeron 2.8ghz or higher

Pent 4

Or an Amd Opteron, but thats a different story

But its not for you though is it :p

Why do they suck? I dont get it?

BUT..AMD will suck for photo editing, Intel will be your best bet for that, if its not for gaming then what is the problem?

Re: processor type
Get an AMD Athelon 64 X2 3800+. Best multitasking CPU as well as budget CPU. The Pentium D's just can't compete. :)

Re: processor type
this is the metaphore im gunna use for amd vs intel
intel is like haveing a 5 lane highway and all the sudden when it hits the processor BOOM it switches into 2 lanes
AMD is 5 lanes all the way through

Re: processor type
What the people here don't realize is that there are other purposes for a computer other than gaming. Intel's provide better clock speed and more cache. They are cheaper as well. Id go with intel since it is better for this purpose.

Re: processor type
That was the dumbest metephore ive ever heard.
