ok im about to order my dual 6600gt's either this week or next and i want to know what power supply i should have, i dont want to spend money on overkill power supplies, 50watts more is fine. i have in my case once i get those-
2x6600gts
7.1 sound card
then probably 2 or 3 case fans.

I just pretty much dont know how much power the 6600gt's suck out.

what kinda proc you runnin? amd A64 socket 939? I would recomend goin 500watts or better, or if you go under, get a really nice 450w here are two powersupplies that totally rule, especially if you have a clear sided case, your gonna need a cup to catch all your friends drool... these come in 450watt and 520watt versions, they are both good, it just depends on how much power your gonna need, if your planning on getting a bunch of cathodes and more fans, go with the bigger one, if your not, go with the smaller one...
450watt

520watt

BTW these PSU's loo much better in person, with the blue le fan, and mirror finish....

ok i forgot to mention that, im going with a neo4 platinum mobo and a 3500+ amd64 939 socket.

yeah, a really nice 450w should do it, but if your gonna run a lot of extra things, go 500w or better.
BTW dont cheap out on a powersupply, you may end up regretting it when you pay 30 bucks for a cheepy that could short out a 1k or more system...

so ocz powersupplies are good? right now i only have a 300watt power supply and i ddint figure that would run my 2x6600gt's properly.

300 watts is not recommended for your setup. Like Aces said, 450 Watts should do you fine but if you want a bigger power supply, you can't go wrong with that. I have a 450 watt myself and everything is very stable.
