Please help!

Hey guys, heres the situation. I use my computer off and on. It's spent some time gathereing dust on a shelf lately. It has fairly good specs, and I don't have much trouble with it. However, several times in the past I have had trouble getting it to start up. By this I mean when I push the power button nothing happens. I used to be able to fix this by flipping the on/off switch in the back, and maybe unplugging it for a bit. This time, none of those tactics seem to work, and I just can't seem to get power to it. I use a surge protector, so I find it unlikely that it is a problem with my power source, but I'm not positive.

Its most likely a failing/failed Powesupply. If you could try a friends one or if you have an extra one lieing around you could positively diagnose and see if thats the problem.
